Wrecked, Abandoned or Hazardous Vessels Act

Through the Wrecked, Abandoned or Hazardous Vessels Act, the government can better protect Canada’s waterways and marine ecosystem. The act regulates wrecked, abandoned, and hazardous vessels.

The act increases vessel owner responsibility and liability. It also strengthens enforcement on irresponsible vessel management.
