Penalties Under the Act

There are maximum violation penalties for individuals and companies or corporations:

• $5,000 to $50,000 for individuals
• $25,000 to $250,000 for companies or corporations

If you are convicted of a regulatory offence, you may receive a maximum fine of up to $6 million and/or prison terms.
