Lateral Buoys: Fairway

Fairway buoys are spheres, pillars, or spars with red and white vertical stripes. They indicate unobstructed water on all sides. They mark mid-channels or fairways and may be passed on either side.

If a fairway buoy is marking the middle of a channel, keep it on your port (left) side.
