Towing a Person With a Vessel
Vessel operators towing a person(s) on water skis, aquaplanes, surfboards, inner tubes, or any similar devices must do so safely and responsibly.
- It is illegal for vessels to tow persons on water skis, a surfboard, or any other device between one hour after sunset and one hour before sunrise.
- Operators of vessels towing person(s) must maintain a reasonable distance from other vessels, people, and property so as not to endanger the life or property of any person.
- It is illegal to operate a vessel towing a person(s) or water skis or other device in a way that causes the device or the person being towed to collide with or strike against any other person or object.
