Operator Age and Education Requirements
The following are the requirements for vessel operators on Wyoming waters.
- No one under the age of 16 may operate or be in physical control of any motorized vessel unless they are accompanied on board by a person 18 years old or older who is responsible for the operation of the vessel. This includes personal watercraft (PWC).
- Although Wyoming currently does not require vessel operators to complete a boater education course, taking a safety course approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) is highly recommended.
