Wear Mission-Specific PPE

Wear mission-specific personal protective equipment (PPE) in the hot zone.

• Select mission-specific water rescue clothing (drysuit, thermal layering to meet the demands of the environment, gloves, and water work boots).
• Turn-out gear is not appropriate PPE in the hot zone. It is bulky and heavy, restricts swimming, and is dangerous to wear around water.
