Introduction
An Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) may already have done significant planning to handle water emergencies. On the other hand, this course may point out organizational weaknesses and the need to plan for water emergencies.
- This course briefly addresses typical planning considerations an agency should address, as well as standard operational guidelines (SOGs). SOGs must be developed, practiced, reviewed, evaluated, and updated.
- By focusing on planning and practice, rescuers can prepare for the dangers and difficulties associated with water rescue.
