Communication

To ensure proper communication:

• Establish standardized communication guidelines for:
  • Hand and whistle signals
  • Night operations (light [glow] sticks, colored lights, and strobe lights)
  • Radio communication frequencies (ground, water, and air personnel)
  • Digital and satellite phone communication
• Always have more than one means to communicate at a water rescue.
