What You Must Do if Involved in an Incident

An operator involved in a boating incident must:

• Stop his or her boat immediately at the scene of the incident and...
• Assist anyone injured or in danger from the incident, unless doing so would seriously endanger his or her own boat or passengers and...
• Give, in writing, his or her name, address, and boat identification (registration number) to anyone injured and to the owner of any property damaged by the incident.
