Permitted Watercraft Events

Permits for regattas, races, motorboat exhibitions, or water-skiing exhibitions to be held on Maine state waters must be obtained by submitting an application to Commissioner of the MDIFW at least 15 days prior to the event. If the event is being held on federally controlled waters, a permit from the USCG is required also. Learn about requirements and permit process at the MDIFW website.
