Who Enforces Boating Laws?

The boating laws of Louisiana are enforced by Wildlife Agents of the LDWF, the USCG, and any other authorized peace officer of the state. They have the right to stop and board vessels in order to check for compliance with federal and state laws. The USCG and Wildlife Agents have enforcement authority on federally controlled waters.
