These boats usually have a casting deck at the bow and one at the stern. They're best suited for fishing near the shore and light, so they don't require a lot of power.

Additionally, since they're more fuel-efficient, they can be great for keeping costs low.

Comparing the Two Boating Choices

For fishing versatility, a center console can be the better choice. They handle diverse environments more easily and allow you to fish further offshore, which can help you boat safely, especially if you frequently fish in rough waters.

Bay boats, however, are more limited and are typically used only for nearshore and inshore fishing.
