Boat Pennsylvania is the official home-study, video-based boating course of the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission. Successful students receive their official Pennsylvania Boater Safety Education Certificate (commonly known as a boating license). The video boating course is only $39.95 (plus $5.00 shipping and handling).

A few easy steps is all it takes...

1. Watch the video, read the manual and complete the study exercises.
2. Take the enclosed test and mail in the test answer sheet along with the required
   certification fee. You must be at least 11 years of age to take the boating test.
3. If you pass by scoring 80% or better on the Certification Exam, you will be mailed a temporary Pennsylvania Boating Safety Education Certificate that will be valid for 60 days.
4. If you wish, you may add the $10.00 permanent certification fee at the time you send in your $5.00 processing fee and exam answer sheet. Or, after you receive your temporary certificate, you may call the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission (PFBC) at 1-888-723-4741 or visit www.fish.state.pa.us for instructions on how to purchase your permanent Pennsylvania Boating Safety Education Certificate on your own (for a $10 state fee).
