Idaho Boating Regulations and Laws

The Idaho boating safety education certificate (commonly known as a Idaho boating license) is proof that a boater has successfully completed a a boating safety course.

Idaho law requires boating safety certification for those renting a personal watercraft, for boaters who have been convicted of operating under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, and for boaters who are repeat offenders of any boating law or rule.
