Enforcement

Primary responsibility for enforcement of the Georgia Boat Safety Act is with the Conservation Rangers of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. However, all peace officers are authorized to enforce the law.

Officers have the authority to stop and board your vessel in order to check that you are complying with state and federal laws.
