A Message to Arkansas Boaters

Arkansas is blessed with over 12,000 miles of streams; 600,000 acres of lakes; and numerous bayous, farm ponds, creeks and sloughs. The majority of these waters are accessible by some kind of boat.

Safe, responsible boating on Arkansas waterways is every boater's duty. We hope that by completing our Boating Education course, you will become more aware of your responsibilities on the water, and will be properly prepared to handle any problems that may arise.

As more and more recreational boaters use Arkansas waters, safe boating becomes increasingly important to prevent accidents, injuries, and deaths. It is our responsibility as boaters to know and obey the boating laws. This course is designed to improve your boating skills, familiarize you with the standard navigation rules and equipment requirements, and help you develop a positive attitude toward safety on the water. Please do your part and make boating in Arkansas a safe, enjoyable pastime.
