Where Can You Take the In-Person Exam After Passing This Online Course?

You can view a list of In-Person Exam locations and dates before taking the Boat New Jersey online course. However, you may not register for an In-Person Exam until after you pass this course. You will be able to register online after passing. There is a $30.00 fee for the In-Person Exam, payable online when registering.

Who Needs a New Jersey Boating Safety Education Certificate?

Anyone born after January 1, 1949, must successfully complete a boating safety education course by June 1, 2008 to legally operate any motorized vessel, including personal watercraft.
By June 1, 2009, all persons who wish to operate a motorized vessel, including a personal watercraft, must possess a boating safety education certificate.
